Honeywell bets on Onvif standard for its Maxpro NVR line, equIP and Performance
The version 2.5 of Honeywell's Maxpro NVR recorders offers support for the Profile S Onvif standard, in addition to integrating virtualization and motion detection functions. Moreover, it has also incorporated new Onvif models into its equIP and Performance range.
Honeywell has expanded its range of IP video management and monitoring, Maxpro, adding enhancements to its line of NVR network video recorders, among which the compatibility with Onvif IP cameras stands out, as well as those that have the Profile S version of the Onvif protocol. In addition, panoramic cameras have been integrated 360 Virtualization and motion detection degrees and functions. All of these improvements have been incorporated into the latest version of Maxpro NVR recorders 2.5.
Being compatible with the new cameras with Onvif Profile S protocol, companies can install Honeywell ONVIF IP cameras in a Maxpro NVR system, as well as from other manufacturers.
The company has also incorporated its line into its 13 new Onvif-compatible camera models to its equIP and Performance ranges. Among the different models, conventional cameras and mini-domes are available in a wide variety of resolutions such as 720p, 720P for extended dynamic range (Wdr) and 1080p, along with two new bullet models and IP minidome with infrared.
Honeywell has integrated with panoramic cameras of 360 degrees so that Maxpro NVR can increase surveillance coverage via video, being compatible with cameras of 360 H.264 grades of Oncam Grandeye, as well as the panamorphic lens technology of ImmerVision.
Using the same statistical model as video analytics, Advanced motion detection offers high sensitivity filtering out background noise, Moving vegetation and shadows, which helps reduce false alarms. This allows the surveillance system to be automated to record when a predefined object is recognized entering or leaving the viewing area.
With calendar search functionality, users have a quick and easy way to locate the event. For its part, virtual machine support is intended for users who want to continue using their existing IT hardware. Maxpro NVR 2.5 offers a software-only version that deploys the system to virtual IT server. Currently, virtual server support is available for VMware ESXi 4.0 or higher. Soon it will also be compatible with Microsoft Hyper-V.
