The version 6.1 Synology Surveillance Station video surveillance software is compatible with DiskStation and RackStation NAS.
Synology has released the beta version of its Surveillance Station program 6.1 providing an optimal browsing experience and simplified management. In addition, this update is compatible with Nas DiskStation and RackStation.
The version 6.1 Synology's video surveillance program improves system usage management and performance and efficiency while expanding camera features to improve customization.
“In the latest version of Surveillance Station we have integrated a lot of advances to help users gain in efficiency and flexibility, and we raised the bar for the user experience for NVR solutions even more”, says Vic Hsu, CEO de Synology.
With the introduction of the Surveillance Station Web Plugin, the web plug-in developed by Synology replaces the Java navigation system with Firefox and Chrome on Windows, providing a simpler and more flexible viewing experience. In addition, the Surveillance Station Web Plugin allows Surveillance Station software to display up to 49 simultaneous channels in 1080p Full HD and multiple live viewing screens.
Other features have also been added to adjust camera settings according to needs or environments. In this way, it is possible to set up the field of view (Fov) to strike the balance between performance and area of interest. When selecting constant bitrate control, you can set a rate as constant to avoid any possibility of bit rate excess.
The configuration of RTSPs/RTPs allows you to choose between different transport protocols, including the car, Udp, TCP and HTTP.
The version 6.1 Surveillance Station includes improvements in usability. On-screen operations, including PTZ for up to 32 Addresses, absolute position, iris focus and adjustment, are now available to help achieve greater efficiency in operating. Enhanced eMap now not only provides an overview of the camera's geographic distribution, it also allows a live preview of all cameras, with just one click.
In addition, Automatic daylight saving mode is now supported, which ensures that recordings made during this period keep track of the correct schedule at which they were made.
In this version Windows AD, LDAP and other domains are supported, simplifying the existing account adoption process and setting up privileges, increasing the integrity of the system. In addition, notifications can be edited by groups, avoiding repeating the settings manually.
