One more step in integrating security systems is to Bosch Security Systems with the development of a new IP interface that integrates the latest in fire protection for the connection of the FPA-5000 plant with the company's Praesideo digital public address and voice evacuation system.

In addition to hardware, there is also a software version that allows Praesideo to connect to the FPA modular fire detection center through the Ethernet port of the MPC controller.

The fire detection plant and evacuation system are connected via Ethernet, which brings such important benefits to customers, such as not having to install additional hardware modules and complex wiring, with the consequent saving of time and cost in the installation.

Bosch Security IP interfaceAnother important advantage is that the risk of deploying incorrect wiring is eliminated, because only one Ethernet connection is required instead of the multiple cable connections that were usually needed.

In addition, thanks to the wide range of diagnostic functions, there is a continuous and quick analysis of the status of the connection, resulting in clear feedback. In the event that the system needs to be expanded, another benefit is that re-establishing hardware connections is not complex.

The latest version of Bosch Security's FPA-5000 modular fire detection plant offers these features, equipping an IP communication interface to the Praesideo digital voice evacuation and public address system, ensuring an easy-to-use connection between systems.

As they point out from the company, with this development "security is put at a higher level, because the connection is continuously monitored. In case of loss of communication, the system resets the connection automatically, while error messages are displayed on each alarm panel".

This IP communication interface complies with EN 54, and is an ideal solution for large installations that require numerous checkpoints or for environments as complex as airports and railway stations, because it can also be connected to an existing third-party building management system via OPC or through a software development kit.
