Mobotix focuses its National Partner Conference 2013 in its technological innovation to grow in the IP video surveillance market

More than 150 Distributors, Partners, resellers and business customers have attended the National Partner Conference 2013 of Mobotix, held these days in Madrid, which has had the presence of Magnus Ekerot, general director of sales of the German manufacturer and appointed new CEO of the company from the next 1 October, as announced Digital AV Magazine.
With the welcome and presentation of the Managing Director for Southern Europe of Mobotix, who stressed the success of the National Parner Conference that the Spanish subsidiary launched five years ago, Magnus Ekerot explained the company's strategy, with the motto of "Mobotix is different", to successfully face the IP video surveillance market in the coming years.
Ekerot stressed the successful evolution of the German company, based on investment in software R&D that has merged with hardware. "Our core is technological innovation," he stressed.. We will never be a company that copies technology or makes cheap products, but we develop innovative products of high quality, resolution and added value".
In this sense, this executive assures that "video surveillance solutions are, mostly, very old and low cost, with low-resolution images that do not add value or reliability in security environments", and points out that this market will grow from 17 To 20 per cent per annum up to 2020 "for the transition from analogue to digital environment, and not only because of issues of global terrorism".
Innovation as a differential
Speaking at the National Partner Conference 2013 held in Madrid, Ekerot explained the keys that differentiate Mobotix from the rest of the market, such as the development of decentralized IP video surveillance systems "where we are pioneers in network cameras that integrate everything: processor, Storage, Software, Audio, video,... which means enormous savings and maximum security guarantee, Robustness, durability and availability, no maintenance".
To this is added, among others, the development of "high resolution systems and image quality up to five megapixels"; all-sized, all-need lenses that deliver panoramic HD images with low bandwidth consumption; we are pioneers in putting on the market the first hemispheric camera in the world, that many have copied, but without the quality of our technology and we have dramatically reduced false alarms and, therefore, the storage that is generated with it".
Another of the differentials highlighted by Ekerot before the attendees was the advantages of the free MxControl Center software from Mobotix, "which allows one of our customers to control up to 8.000 cameras", and the company's app (also free) to control and monitor Mobotix equipment via smartphones, tablet, Etc.
Strategic objective 2020
In your meeting with the media, Ekerot explained that the strategic and commercial development of the company is based on four focuses: organic growth "we are not going to buy companies to grow"; geographical expansion in growing areas "such as Spain, where we plan to invest resources in technical personnel, support,..." and emerging "such as the Asian and Latin American market"; operational excellence, and marketing actions "that help our partners in business development".
The new CEO of Mobotix AG also pointed to the strategic development "to create a platform of video surveillance solutions" and referred to the celebration of international events such as Light&Building 2014 and Security Essen to introduce new product developments.
Mobotix AG, which occupies the sixth position in the IP video surveillance market, focuses its growth "on technological quality and added value in facilities and services, not in the price - emphasizes this manager -. It's not about achieving volume by price, it is not our focus. We achieve our margin with our technology and services, and the future is positive".
Another of the strategic focuses is the channel and, Mainly, their training "so that they understand the profitability of our technology and its flexibility", Ekerot points out, that precisely as General Sales Manager of Mobotix AG he was responsible for the implementation of the first partner program for the company.
