ERECA develops fiber optic transmission system for Panasonic AW-HE120 camera
The integrated HD camera AW-HE 120 Panasonic now incorporates a fiber optic transmitter unit, Topas ET120, developed by the French COMPANY ERECA, fruit of the technological collaboration between both companies.
The French company ERECA And Panasonic have reached a technological collaboration agreement whose result is the development of the Topas ET120 fiber optic transmission solution for the Panasonic AW-HE120 device, an integrated HD camera commonly used in realities and all-around channels.
Topas is a fiber optic transmission system, designed specifically for the AW-HE120 integrated camera. The special design of the transmitter unit fits perfectly into the base of the AW-HE120 camera, since it has the same mechanical interface of fastening. Transmitter modules are available in black and white.
The Topas system allows the use of integrated cameras in long-distance applications, with the possibility of taking advantage of the fiber optic infrastructure already existing in the facilities. As a result, you have a multi-camera system with IP control, cost-effective through fiber optic transmission.
Different versions of the transmitter module are available that allow the use of either conventional single-mode fiber through SC/APC connectors, or hybrid fiber with remote power via LEMO 3K connectors. Module transmits HD/SD-SDI signals, Composite video, Genlock, RS422 Serial Control and Ethernet Control.
Optionally, two two-way audio signals can also be transmitted with XLR connectors, or two channels with stereo microphone input and phantom power if required. Moreover, the composite video channel can be converted to a return signal in SDI (para prompter o videoassist).
The system is completed with the receiver plates and the Net Racer chest that provides power, cooling and control monitoring. The Net Racer chest, rack width, Offers 16 Slots. SC/APC boards occupy a slot (except those that offer audio), while LEMO 3K boards occupy two slots each.
The integrated high definition camera AW-HE120, available in pearl white or metallic black to better fit the décor, can be operated remotely over an IP connection, allowing you to easily configure a multi-camera system with remote control and cost effective. Its lens with 20x optical zoom covers a wide range of distances, from wide-angle to telephoto, which is complemented by a 10x digital zoom function.
It also incorporates a four-position ND filter (Clear, 1/4, 1/16, 1/64) that facilitates the adjustment of the exposure. The image collector, also incorporated in some camcorders of the Panasonic P2 HD series, is based on three U.L.T MOS sensors from 2,2 megapixels and type 1/3, providing excellent image quality in Full HD.
