SICUR renews its Organizing Committee with the appointment of Luis del Corral as President
The president of Asepal, Luis del Corral, has assumed the presidency of the Organizing Committee of SICUR, the integral security event organized by IFEMA, that will take place in the 25 To 28 February 2014 at Feria de Madrid.
The nineteenth edition of Sicur, International Security Exhibition, has renewed its organizing committee with the appointment of Luis del Corral, President of the Association of Personal Protective Equipment Companies (Asepal), as president of the same replacing Antonio Ávila, president of the Spanish Association of Security Companies (Aes), who will occupy one of the three vice-presidencies of the fair, on behalf of the Security sector.
The new SICUR Organizing Committee 2014 is completed in the second and third vice-presidencies with the appointments of Vicente Mans, president of Tecnifuego/Aespi, and Ángel Córdoba, president of Aproser, Respectively.
The next edition of SICUR, contest organized by Ifema, will be held at Feria de Madrid in the 25 To 28 February 2014. The presidency of the Organizing Committee is produced according to the rotating nature of the position, which for two editions has been held by Antonio Ávila, now at the head of one of the vice-presidencies, and that Luis del Corral assumes from now on.
With extensive experience in the security sector, the president of Asepal was a founding member of this association in 1989 and has held the presidency of the same on two other occasions, also lending its collaboration to SICUR as a member of the Organizing Committee.
Luis del Corral is also director of the Oroel Group and Confecciones Oroel, company founded in 1980 specialized in protective and workwear and one of the veteran exhibitors of the fair, in which he participated for the first time in the year 1984.
The newly constituted SICUR Organizing Committee, which also has the support and collaboration of the main representative associations of this industry, Professional, Public Security Forces and Corps, will work on defining the actions to be developed for the edition of 2014, around the areas of Fire Safety, Occupational safety – SICUR ProLabor, and Security.
Sicur, Biennial competition of reference for the security sector in the European calendar, ended its last edition with the participation of 1.233 Companies (524 Direct) and received a visit from 38.840 professionals from eighty countries. In addition, the first edition of the contest in Latin America is added, organised by IFEMA and FISA at the beginning of last April in Santiago de Chile.
