Herta Security's new facial recognition video surveillance version, BioSurveillance Next, is capable of processing 150 frames per second. This will be presented at the IFSEC fair 2013.

Herta Security BioSurveillance

Herta Security will attend the IFSEC international security fair, to be held from the 13 To 16 May in Birmingham (United Kingdom), with its BioSurveillance Next video surveillance solution. It is a new version that improves the functionalities of the previous one but that continues to base its operability on facial recognition. The system uses video surveillance cameras to detect faces, even if they're on the move and at a distance, and without requiring user collaboration.

BioSurveillance Next is capable of real-time processing, live or high-definition video at a speed of 150 frames per second and, to do that, uses the latest GPU technology. Can be integrated with CCTV systems, video management (Vms) E, Even, can work autonomously.

This development of Herta Security, spin-off of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Upc), is able to detect faces even if they are partially hidden by the use of glasses, handkerchiefs or caps. It is highly scalable and very useful in environments where there are a large number of people, like airports, metro or train stations, shopping malls, sports stadiums or urban centres, because it is able to simultaneously identify multiple moving faces.
