Pelco's new line of Spectra HD 1080p cameras, that works through the Sarix platform, provides great image quality with a resolution nine times higher than standard definition case guns, integrating image analysis through eight profiles, a 20x optical zoom, and ports for connecting USB accessories, and allows you to create up to 32 privacy zones.

Pelco Spectra HD

Schneider Electric has presented the new range Spectra HD 1080p of Pelco by Schneider Electic, an improved version of its security cameras thanks to the application of the new high definition technology that offers a resolution of 2.0 Megapixel. This range has been conceived to overcome the limitations experienced by standard definition cameras. HD technology allows a resolution nine times more defined and is ideal for seeing details such as face or license plates. Spectra HD1080p, In addition, live stream images over the Internet using any web browser.

Spectra HD 1080p includes a choice of four rear box models: indoor and outdoor ceiling, and pendant indoors and outdoors. Its hanging model has been designed with a new technology that allows to eliminate possible camera vibrations, so the image quality is much better. All exterior models, In addition, NEMA 4X compliant, IP66 when properly installed. The new Pelco by Schneider Electric range has the same ease of installation and maintenance as always. Each system consists of a box, a camera module and a lower dome.

More privacy

The new Spectra HD 1080p has 360 degrees of continuous camera rotation and allows you to create up to 32 privacy zones. These hidden areas will appear on the screen as a solid gray window so that the camera operator will not be able to view those private areas.

System compatibility

Spectra HD 1080p easily connects with IP systems from Pelco by Schneider Electric and hybrids such as Endura version 2.0 (or later) and Digital Sentry version 7.3 (or later). The camera is also compatible with Digital Sentry NVs video management software (DS NV), which includes four free IP Pelco licenses and facilitates video management of 64 Cameras. The dome system has an open connection architecture to third parties that allows integration within any IP system based on high definition.

Pelco Analytics: behaviors

Spectra HD 1080 allows the user to choose from nine camera behavior configuration possibilities – being able to execute up to three behaviors at the same time – although the number of behaviors is limited to the power of the camera processor and the type of analytics that is used. the user can create multiple custom profiles for each behavior, that contain different camera settings. With these profiles, different scenarios can be set for each situation, which will automatically detect and trigger alarms when the specific activity occurs.

Pelco Analytics is configured and enabled using a standard web browser. The behavior of Pelco alarms is compatible with Endura and with a third-party system that supports the Pelco API system. Various Pelco behaviors can be programmed for a certain amount of time. For example, during the day a camera can be configured with the "Object Count" behavior to count the number of people entering through a door, and at night, the operator can change the profile to the "Sabotage Camera" behavior to trigger an alarm if the camera moves or is obstructed. The nine types of Pelco behaviors included in Spectra HD are:

· Abandoned Objects: Detects objects placed within a predefined zone. If the object remains within that space longer than it has been defined by the user, an alarm is triggered. For example, an airport terminal or an ATM can be two facilities where this behavior is performed.

· Motion Detection: Detects and tracks objects that are in the Spectra HD field of view 1080. When objects enter the user-defined zone, the camera triggers an alarm. This behavior is mainly used in outdoor environments with lights produced by traffic to reduce the number of false alarms caused by changes in the environment..

· AutoTracker: As the 'Motion Detection' behavior, detects and tracks movement in the camera's visibility field. With AutoTracker, In addition, the system automatically scrolls and tilts following the moving object until it stops or disappears from the monitored area.

· Sabotage Camera: Detects contrast changes in the field of view. The alarm is triggered if the object is clogged, For example, by spray paint, clothing or if covered by the lens cap. It would also be activated with any unauthorized repositioning of the camera.

· Directional Movement: Generates an alarm in a crowded area when a person or object moves in a specific direction. The perfect facilities for this type of behavior would be the gate of an airport or a tunnel where cameras can detect objects moving in the opposite direction to the normal flow of traffic., For example, an individual entering through an exit door.

· Loitering detection: Identifies people or vehicles that remain in the user-defined area longer than the user has delimited. This behavior is effective in suspicious behavior around ATMs, stairs or schoolyards.

· Object Count: Counts the number of objects that enter the user-defined zone. this behavior is based on tracking, and can be used to count the number of people entering and leaving a store.

· Object of Deletion: Triggers an alarm if an object is removed from the user-defined zone. this behavior is ideal for customers who want to protect high-value objects, such as a painting or sculpture.

· Stopped Vehicles: Detects vehicles that are stopped near the area delimited by the user. This behavior is highly recommended to control the behavior in a parking lot, suspicious vehicles, breakdowns in a traffic lane and vehicles waiting in front of doors.
