Bosch Security Systems announced the latest version of Bosch Video Client, an easy-to-use freeware package that simplifies security video surveillance and recording tasks. Bosch Video Client 1.4 (Bvc) offers a large number of improvements, including improved searches and support for the advanced features of Bosch IP cameras, to give you more control over your video system. The new version also supports ONVIF cameras and an expanded range of storage solutions.

With the version 1.4, forensic searches can be conducted for Intelligent Video Analysis (Vat) and thus benefit from the new auto-tracking feature in the AutoDome Series 700 And 800. Smart Tracking uses the VAT feature built into AutoDome to constantly monitor moving scenes and automatically keep objects moving within camera range. Conditions may be stipulated that instantly trigger tracking or click a moving object within the live video to enable tracking. The software also includes support for areas of interest in live and recorded video. This allows an approach to specific areas of the image and transmit a second flow separately, therefore the entire and detailed scene can be viewed at the same time.

Up to two monitors can be used to improve viewing and assign live sequences from cameras to cameos on the second monitor. BVC allows live video viewing of up to 20 standard definition cameras (Sd), high definition (Hd) or megapixel cameras simultaneously and has a visual adaptation of cameo that change dynamically to support the format 16:9 HD cameras. Live camera sequences can also be viewed on a Monitor Wall.

More storage solutions

BVC supports Bosch IP cameras and ONVIF cameras 1.02 third-party profile S when used with DLA and Bosch Video Streaming Gateway arrays. It also supports a wide range of storage solutions to meet different budget needs and recording times. On BVC you can play recordings of devices with "Recording at the Edge" technology stored on Secure Digital cards (Sd) or Compact Flash (Cf) for a very accessible IP video system. Other solutions include Bosch Recording Station, Serial DVR 400, 600 And 700, DLA fixes, DiBos and Video Recording Manager v2.30 that allows the use of DSA E-Series iSCSI Disk Arrays. You can also enable on-demand recording to the local PC's hard drive for easy video export to any storage medium, including network locations.

Bosch Video Client is easy to install and configure and intuitive to use. A simple Setup Wizard allows you to go step by step through the installation. Cameras can be quickly configured for the most common lighting conditions, allowing individual adjustments to get optimized results from a particular scene. Favorite views can be defined and named by each user for easy access, offering one-click viewing of the required cameras. The software allows the control of PTZ cameras with a mouse and with IntuKey serial keyboards simultaneously. The PTZ control feature for cameras with limited bandwidth has also been added to the new version.

Bosch Video Client is free even for 16 video channels, a license can be acquired to increase up to 128 Channels. Ideal for small and medium-sized surveillance applications, including stores, Banks, transport and commercial buildings.
