IndigoVision's new BX500 PTZ dome camera provides high-resolution images

The manufacturer of comprehensive IP video security solutions, IndigoVision, has launched the new BX500 PTZ high definition dome camera (Hd), supports ONVIF and SMS4 and is equipped with an optical zoom, delivering excellent image quality at a resolution of 2 1080p megapixels.

IndigoVision has added to its product catalog the new BX500 PTZ high definition dome (Hd) , providing customers with a high-resolution camera that supports both the ONVIF standard and IndigoVision's security management solution, SMS4. The camera, which is equipped with optical zoom, allows customers to implement a simple high-definition 1080p video solution, with audio, that also takes full advantage of IndigoVision's comprehensive solution and distributed architecture. Cameras can be located anywhere on the network and transmitted to numerous clients without the need for a central server. This distributed architecture allows the solution to expand easily and eliminates any single point of failure.

With a 20x optical zoom, The BX500 works wonders in outdoor and indoor environments with less favorable light conditions by incorporating an automatic mechanical IR filter for true day and night functionality. Designed to meet usage requirements for bandwidth-constrained connections with dual-transmission features, this camera gives you the ability to view and record scenes locally in high resolution, in addition to allowing you to use a lower bit rate for remote viewing. The built-in versatility of this camera, such as the fact that the user can configure the resolution, the speed of bits and frames, makes it easy to use and highly adaptable to any network. The BX500 also allows customers to watch live or recorded video from the camera, using SMS4's Control Center user interface.

The external camera has an IP66 rating for outdoor use and a temperature rating of -30◦C to +50◦C (-22◦F to 122◦F). The indoor version can operate with PoE power, reducing installation time as well as costs. The BX500 PTZ HD dome camera is further expanding IndigoVision's range of 1080p BX cameras, including HD minidomos and an HD bullet camera, and is fully compatible with IndigoVision's full range of IP cameras and SMS4.
