Axis unveils new AXIS P12 miniature HDTV camera series

The provider of IP video solutions for professional installations, Axis Communications, has expanded its network camera portfolio with the new AXIS P12 series of miniature hidden cameras, flexible models that offer excellent video surveillance for commercial establishments, Banks, hotels and offices.

Axis Communications AXIS P12 network cameras have been added to its catalog, a series of uniquely designed cameras for exceptionally discreet indoor and outdoor surveillance. The form factor and small size of these cameras allow easy integration into very limited spaces, which is ideal for discreet or covert surveillance in stores, banks and ATMs, architectural buildings, hotels and offices.

Erik Frynnlid, Axis Director of Product Management, pointed out that “these new cameras offer great flexibility, with its unique design concept, comprising a main unit and a separate sensor unit, allowing them to be mounted with a separation of up to 8 meters away. The small size of the cameras and a functional design allows them to be easily integrated into a wide variety of environments where space is narrow or where a covert installation is required”.

AXIS P12 series consists of three models: two pin hole camera models -AXIS P1204 and AXIS P1214-, that are ideal for indoor environments; AXIS P1214-E, which is an IP66 model suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Each product consists of a small sensor unit with a lens and an image sensor, and a main unit with the corresponding electronic and mounting accessories.

High image quality

AXIS P12 Series offers high-performance hidden cameras that deliver HDTV 720p video at maximum frame rate. Cameras provide multiple H.264 compression video streams that can be individually configured, which greatly optimizes bandwidth and storage without compromising image quality. They also support Motion JPEG for greater flexibility.

In addition, cameras can be powered via Ethernet or an external power supply. They support Edge storage and recordings can be saved to a microSD card / optional microSDHC or a Network Attached Storage (Nas). Also, cameras offer powerful event management capabilities with AXIS Camera Application Platform and embedded intelligent video features such as motion detection, anti-manipulation alarm and ports I / Or for connecting external devices.
