Honeywell has released a new version of its NVR (network recorder) Maxpro that includes numerous improvements so that the system can interact with any encoder or surveillance camera from other manufacturers. Maxpro NVR 2.0 is compatible with PSIA and ONVIF interoperability standards, as well as with the real-time transmission protocol or RTSP, and includes native integration with cameras and encoders from Honeywell and other manufacturers. In addition, the product family now includes a software-only version that will allow users to reuse their own hardware thanks to the loading of Maxpro NVR software 2.0 on existing servers, regardless of the type of hardware. These enhancements will allow organizations greater flexibility in creating customized surveillance systems..

Ulrich Hopfstock, EMEA Product Manager, Honeywell Security Group, has pointed out that “Maxpro NVR 2.0 enables organizations to leverage its advanced IP video capabilities and marks a major step forward toward open third-party integration. Integrators and end users want NVR technology that is interoperable with a wide range of cameras, so Maxpro O NVR 2.0 can be key to making a truly open system possible”.

Honeywell's Maxpro NVR range includes a package of 16 To 32 software channels and solutions that oscillate between 4 And 32 Channels. Customers who already have the solution package can upgrade to Maxpro NVR 2.0 via free download or they can order a DVD.

Maxpro VMS

Thanks to Maxpro NVR 2.0, organizations will be able to view and manage video remotely with devices like Apple iPad and iPhone via the free Maxpro Mobile app. In addition to NVRs, Maxpro range of IP video solutions includes Maxpro VMS, the company's flagship video management system, that allows organizations to centrally manage all types of surveillance. There is a wide variety of IP cameras compatible with the Maxpro family, including Performance and equIP series.

The company will also launch Maxpro Viewer, a software application that allows multiple viewing of Honeywell and, since this technology is based on a single platform, end users only have to learn one system to be able to fully use the full range of technology.
