FLIR launches thermal camera paths for traffic monitoring and medium- and long-range applications
FLIR Systems, specialist in the design and manufacture of thermal imaging cameras for a wide variety of applications, has added the new PT-602CZ thermal imaging cameras to its product portfolio, for medium and long-range security applications, and FC-Series T, for traffic monitoring applications.
How thermal cameras are becoming increasingly popular for security and surveillance applications, More and more security professionals are integrating thermal security cameras into their new or existing networks. Many security professionals have the need to detect man-sized targets several miles away in order to protect their perimeter. Early detection gives them more time to react, both day and night. For medium and long-range security applications, FLIR Systems now presents the PT-602CZ.
The PT-602CZ multi-sensor is equipped with a highly reliable medium-wave cooled detector, offering medium to long-range detection in all weather conditions. Thermal imaging camera offers continuous optical and electronic zoom. This offers excellent situational awareness while also giving the ability to focus on suspicious activity to have a more detailed point of view once they are detected. The PT-602CZ has a unique autofocus function that delivers clear and sharp images at the touch of a button. Focus is maintained while zooming in and out. The system allows for greater situational awareness in the wide field of view, while maintaining detailed reconnaissance capabilities in the narrow field of view.
The PT-602CZ's precision pan/tilt mechanism provides operators with precise signaling control while providing fully programmable scan patterns, Turn-to-Cue Radar and Turn-to-Alarm Functionality. Multi-sensor setups also include a 36×zoom day/night color CCD camera in the same pan/tilt package. The PT-602CZ can be integrated into existing networks or used as a standalone unit.
Sharp thermal images
The PT-602CZ is equipped with a Mid-Wave InfraRed detector (MWIR) refrigerated, that produces ultra-sharp thermal images of 640 X 512 Pixels. This will satisfy users who want to see the smallest of details and demand the best possible image quality.
Continuous optical zoom
The FLIR PT-602CZ is equipped with powerful continuous optical zoom capabilities in thermal imaging. Provides an excellent perspective of the situation, as well as the ability to zoom in and see in more detail once a target has been detected. In this way, Operators can see beyond, Recognize in more detail and react more quickly to security threats. The Advantage of Zooming Continuously, compared to other systems that use a rotary lens system, is that you don't have to switch or swap between the different images. You can slowly zoom in while maintaining your focus all the time.
The PT-602CZ zooms between a wide 28° field of view and a narrow 2° field of view. Allows detection of a person-sized target at a distance of more than 9 Kilometers. A small car can be detected at a distance of more than 15 Kilometers.
Precision pan/tilt mechanism
PT-602CZ thermal imaging cameras come with a very precise pan/tilt mechanism. Allows the user to rotate the camera 360° continuously and tilt it +90 °or -90 °. This greatly increases the perspective of the situation. Pan/tilt has 128 Positions.
"Turn-to-cue" radar connection”
The PT-602CZ can be connected by an integrator to a radar system. If the radar detects an object, The PT-602CZ will automatically turn on in the right direction and give you a visual image so that you can immediately see what the bright spot on the radar screen really means.
Daylight camera
All versions are equipped with a wide range of day/night cameras. The video output of the thermal image and the day/night light camera are available simultaneously. Daylight camera offers 36x optical zoom.
IP or serial control
The PT-602CZ can be integrated into any TCP/IP network and can be controlled by a PC. No additional cables needed. With this configuration, All activity can be monitored from the network, even thousands of miles away. Stock control is also available.
FLIR Sensor Manager
Each PT-602CZ camera comes with a simple sensor copy of the FLIR Sensor Manager. This intuitive software allows users to manage and control a PT-602CZ camera on a TCP/IP network.
As the number of cars on our roads is continuously increasing, The demand for accurate traffic monitoring and road surveillance systems is increasing accordingly. These systems must operate 24/7, without pause. CCTV cameras are often used for this purpose, But these cameras have a lot of limitations when it comes to nighttime operation, although they are also subject to many limiting factors during the day. Thermal imaging cameras are not affected by the reflection of the sun, so they can be placed wherever they are going to be most effective, without worrying about the angle of the sun. They can be used for light traffic control and vehicle counting, even in total darkness.
Thermal cameras are ideal instruments for a wide variety of traffic monitoring applications, such as vehicle detection at intersections, Monitoring of the shoulders, Tunnel traffic monitoring and highway traffic management. Thermal Cameras Eliminate Problems That Arise with Visible Camera Detection Systems, such as missed or fake calls.
The new FLIR FC-T-Series thermal imaging cameras are ideal tools for traffic monitoring applications.
High image quality
The FC T-Series cameras are equipped with a cooling, maintenance-free microbolometer detector that produces images of no less than 320×240 pixels in which the smallest details can be seen.
FLIR Systems offers the FC-Series T with different lens options. They are available with a lens of 9 Mm, 13 mm or 19 Mm. Larger lenses offer a narrower field of vision so you can see further.
Easy to install
All FC-Series T thermal imaging cameras can be installed in existing infrastructures. No need for major civil works or lifting the ground. Can be easily integrated into any existing infrastructure, providing detection and visibility 24/7 All year round. They can serve as a simple plug and play replacement for existing visible cameras.
Designed for use in harsh environments
The FC T-Series are extremely robust systems. Its core is well protected, meeting IP66 requirements against dust and water ingress. They operate between -50 ºC and +75 OC.
Video Analytics
Like all thermal imaging cameras, the FLIR FC-Series T works seamlessly in conjunction with video analytics.
